Basava International School,Sector 23, Dwarka celebrated its Annual Day ‘Manthan’ on 20th November 2018.The function was inaugurated with the lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest Dr.Jitendra Nagpal, a senior consultant Psychiatrist at Moolchand Institute of Child Development; Guest of Honour,Ms.Ruma Roka, Founder of Noida Deaf Society; Dr.Preeti Dodwad,KLE School Coordinator; GM Ms.Poornima Ambili and Principal Dr.Manimala Roy. The programme commenced with Ganesh Vandana and the Principal presented the annual school report which listed the achievements of the school and the students in academic and extracurricular fields.

The junior and middle school students staged Rabindranath Tagore’s play ‘Daak Ghar’ to give a new dimension to the adult world from an ailing child’s point of view. The senior students of Basava enthralled the audience with their performance in the musical play ‘Fiddler on the Roof.’ The play is based on the book by Joseph Stein, set in Russia in 1905. The play centers around Tevye who holds on to tradition until his daughters empowered with both tradition and urge to change, force him to contemplate and accept the winds of change. The students showcased these mature emotions very subtly and musically.

The programme concluded with the prize distribution ceremony to felicitate the well deserving X and XII school toppers.
