Basava Children at CM’s Rally

KLE Society celebrates its centenary

Four NCC children of Basava International School, Prerna P kumar, Aashna Dutta, Aarushi Sharma and Aryamaan Mirje were selected for the CM’s Rally this year on the eve of the 71st Independence Day. They went through a rigorous rehearsal session at different locations and managed to come over all hardships through their determination. On 15th August the CM’s Rally was held at Chhatrasal Stadium. The main purpose of the Rally was to give the Guard of Honour to the Chief Minister, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal. The CM hoisted the National Flag to mark the beginning and took Guard of Honour in an open jeep.

Thereafter, there was a marvellous parade presented by Delhi Police, Delhi Home Guard Services, Delhi Fire and Rescue, NCC and students from various schools. They were accompanied by the band troupe who played patriotic songs evoking respect for the nation. In his address, the CM assured the people of the state to provide social security especially for women and Education for all. He emphasized the need to have smart citizens rather than ‘Smart Cities’. Some students were trained to make formation of different Slogans and Welcome symbols. It was an eye catching spectacle for all present at the stadium. The rally was a great success as the NCC and school students matched the discipline, enthusiasm and synchronization in the parade with the veteran Delhi Police Home Guards and the Fore and Rescue Group. To culminate the program the whole sky was bedecked with tricolour balloons.
