The Investiture Ceremony for the newly elected prefectorial board of Basava International School was held with pride and grandeur on 10 August 2018. The ACP of Dwarka, Rajender Singh was the honourable chief guest who graced the occasion with his presence. The function started with the lighting of the lamp followed by a welcome song by the school choir.

The honourable chief guest presented leadership excellence badges and sashes to the Council members .The Student Council then took their oath of office and pledged their allegiance to work for the welfare of the school. The General Manager, Ms.Poornima Ambli and Principal, Dr.Manimala Roy congratulated the new Council members and reiterated their core duties and responsibilities. Prerna P.Kumar, Arkita Barua, Aarushi Sharma, Aashna Dutta and Aryamaan Mirje who had participated in the PM and Chief Minister’s rally were also lauded and felicitated on this occasion.

The ceremony culminated with words of wisdom spoken by ACP Rajender Singh, who addressed the students and stressed the need for the young generation to acknowledge the services rendered by the Armed Forces and the Police department in their relentless service to the nation. He also invited the children for a visit to the police station, so as to provide them an exposure to the Police force and their work environment. The vote of thanks was given by the newly elected Head Boy, Aman Solanki and Head Girl, Aanya Goyal.
