Basavites Shoulder Responsibilities With Pride

KLE Society celebrates its centenary

Investiture Ceremony of Basava International School on 21st August was one of the most awaited events on the school calendar. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Gp. Capt. T.S.S Krishnan. The Guests of Honour were Wg. Cdr. Sameer Mehra and Lt. Col. Narendra Daggar. The Principal, Dr. Manimala Roy welcomed the Chief Guest and other guests and the proud parents of the office bearers.In her welcome address she mentioned that leadeship manifests itself in the ability to take quick decisions, inspire others and guide a team. A great leader takes the team along and reaches the goal together. She was proud of her students who would take on the role of Future Leaders head-on.

The ceremony began with the N.C.C Cadets giving salute to the Chief Guest followed by March Past by the Council members led by the Head Girl and Head Boy. Each member of the Council was presented with the sash and badge of office by the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour. The Chief Guest then administered the oath of office to the students and congratulated them on being elected as Council Members. He explained the importance and responsibilities of an elected representative to the newly formed Council He said that with appointments came responsibility and with responsibility came accountability.The N.C.C students Prerna, Aryaman, Aashna and Aarushi selected for this year’s CM’s rally were congratulated by the Chief Guest on this occasion. The Head Girl and Head Boy acknowledged the faith reposed in them by their teachers and school mates and promised to do their best. The vote of thanks was delivered by them towards the culmination.
