Our Infrastructure
BIS has very effective library. It has a modern look and is well lighted. The library is well stocked with a collection of various books, subscribes to many latest current affairs magazines and daily Newspapers. Students are encouraged to write book reviews of the books read by them which are then displayed on the bulletin boards in the classroom. Book Exhibition cum sale is held on Parents’ Day, leading publishers are called to display their works, models, educational and scientific aids, etc. Eminent people from various fields are invited from time to time to have face-to-face interaction with the students and to discuss their works.
I.T. Labs
There are four computer labs powered with Core i5 Processor CPU’s, with Internet facility. The method of education comprising of classroom theory and hands on lab experience provide the children necessary knowledge and motivation to do more. The students have free access to the systems and are encouraged to exploit the system resources and in this, highly experienced and talented computer teachers support them. One resource room with computer and internet facilities is being used exclusively by the students.
Maths Laboratories
In order to make Mathematics learning both meaningful and enjoyable, we have introduced Maths Lab activities on a regular basis. Beautiful charts, models, puzzles have been displayed everywhere in the Lab. In order that various mathematical concepts become very clear and strongly embedded in the young minds, different kinds of problems, games, and puzzles are also available. Children have an easy access to the required materials required to carry out the activities. The outcome of their participation is very satisfactory and can be seen in the form of their beautiful files and projects.

Science Laboratories
The Science Laboratory provides a platform for students of Basava International School to practically perform the activities and get convinced about the laws and theories of the living as well as non living world. The students till class VIII are taken to General Science Laboratories. And each student gets to perform activity on his/her own, under the guidance of the concerned teacher and the Laboratory Assistant. The students are then asked to relate the various phenomenon and occurrences they see at home and outside to what they have learnt, be it the concept of latent heat, neutralization reactions, or conditions for growth of microbes. As an extension to this, the senior students from clas IX to class XII are provided with three different well equipped and spacious Laboratories, one for Physics, one for Chemistry and one for Biology.

Our fun filled activity room
Our Pre-school fun activity room caters to the need of 26 children per day, where we offer nursery education for 3 to 4 year-olds in preparation for the transition to school. We firmly believe in learning through play way method. Specific areas of the room and outside are set out to give the children freedom of choice in the activities they do. We tailor our provision to meet each and every child’s needs. We believe that children attending our setting deserve the best we are able to give them. Hand puppets really liven up a classroom, especially for young learners who are shy . They ‘ll probably prefer talking to the puppet than to you! Fun puppet characters can produce unexpected results. The “Tree House ” would sensitize them about animals, plants and environmental issues. The related activities would make them feel as the tiny guardians of the forest who’d love to teach you about trees and their importance.
HI-Tech Laboratories In Basava International School
Technology is already sweeping through classrooms as educators and developers create more and more products designed to enhance education. With an influx of new learning models available, traditional educational methods are bound to evolve in the next decade. Apart from sophisticated laboratories like-Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science- Basava International School is also equipped with 3-D lab, AEROBAY & ATL to benefit our students. Due to which Science has become more of an interesting subject than ever before.
3-D LAB:
Learning with 3D technology is very exciting since students can get the first-hand experience of the subject matter especially in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) subjects. With 3D laboratories in the schools, learning complex lessons has never been this easy. The 3-D setup enables teachers to import, view, and manipulate three-dimensional models, graphics and videos without the need for additional hardware. Students can also use the tool to view detailed images and label them, from different angles. The sticky labels remain attached to the 3D images. Adding 3D brings a whole new dimension to teaching with SMART Classrooms, making images come alive so the students can get the whole visual experience without having to leave the classroom and enhance their knowledge in all the subjects.
ATAL TINKERING LAB:
ATAL TINKERING LAB(ATL) provides a platform for the students to explore and experiment with their scientific skills. It optimises the usage of the workspace at school by giving greater opportunities to the students to learn by the hands-on learning process. ATL brings out the potential of students from class VI to XII by providing a plethora of experiments and opportunities where they can perform and learn. It incorporates the STEM learning methodology and makes innovators ready for the future. It works in a prescribed format where there are monthly activities, events and competition, training support, resources and solutions to the problems and manuals also. ATL not only educate students with the topics given in the textbook but also equip themselves to take part in inter-school, zone, state as well as national competitions. Atal Tinkering Lab makes the STEM subjects easy and understandable to the students. The students who learn at schools with ATL are a perfect example of the changing face of education, that is more about rendering practical knowledge than giving theoretical lectures. It is an excellent initiative by the NITI AAYOG for the students absolutely free of cost. .
AEROBAY
AeroBay Experiential Learning Center has a state-of-the-art lab that is fully prepared to provide complete practical learning Education in context with STEAM concepts and make it easier to understand all scientific concepts in accordance with the school curriculum and students will be Trained by Highly Educated AeroBay Trainers.
The centre is equipped with industrial prototypes, working models, manufacturing machineries, DIY STEAM kits and also provides access to a range of national and international competitions based on domains of Aerospace, Space, Drones, EV’s, Design thinking and much more.
Sports and Physical Education
The School has a vast ground of 2.5 acres of open green field. The School offers a comprehensive physical education program, tailored to the needs of a growing child and leading to a harmonious development of mind and body.
The philosophy of the school is ‘children compete with themselves’ to reach and set new standards. The program covers both team and individual items. In the primary and the junior school, emphasis is placed on physical coordination through drill and calisthenics
In the middle school, team games, such as, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Foot Ball, Cricket and Hockey are introduced, so that there is a feeling of esprit-de-corps and an appreciation of sporting spirit. Coaching takes place both during and after school hours.

Canteen
Children can choose from freshly cooked variety of healthy snacks like rice, vada, dosa, idlis, sandwich and noodles.The School authorities fix prices and the quality of food is monitored from time to time. Aerated drinks are not permitted. Instead, the children can choose from Frooti, and flavored milk, etc.
Infirmary
Periodical check-up by multi-disciplinary medical specialists are organized and reports are sent to parents with advice and suggestions. A full time qualified doctor and a nurse are on call whenever required. The Homeroom teacher maintains a regularly updated medical report of each child.
Transport Facility
The School provides transport for children from designated stops to and from the school. We try to cover maximum areas and all parts of the Dwarka and around Dwarka. Our Office staff supervises smooth arrival and departure of each bus at the school gate, and teachers monitor orderliness and discipline in the buses and look after the safety of the children. Senior students as Bus Captains also help teachers to maintain order.
